I’m sitting here with some sort of upper respiratory infection and a mug of some homemade chicken noodle soup. It could be a cold. It could be the flu. Either way, I’m sequestering myself from the rest of the world until I’m better again. I’m already feeling better than I was yesterday (2 bad fevers) but my voice hasn’t returned so I’m limited to written blog posts rather than videos.
Anyway, enough about me. Let’s talk Grendels.
PurringCat decided ot start the session off with a new egg! Out of that egg hatched a little boy that I decided to name “LovelySong”. Given the fact that I’ve injected the Norn Mother agent purely to help these guys release their anger through violence, I think the irony of this gentle naming scheme is hilarious.
PurringCat came down with Antigens 0 and 4, though. Being sick with some kind of infection myself, I couldn’t help but sympathize. I gave her a spray to kill the bacteria, but she would have to fight the Antigens herself. I couldn’t remember the numbers for the antibodies, though I should keep a memo to immunize a population in the future.
It didnt’ take long for more infections to spring up. LovelySong and LovelyDown both had bacteria on their bodies but they were sorted much more quickly than PurringCat. Honestly, I was curious to see what Antigens actually affected Grendels. I’ve forgotten a lot since I stopped playing regularly some months ago.
Before too long, however, and despite beating the Antigens in her body, PurringCat passed away before reaching old age. I guess the previous infection just took too much out of her. She was alone in the Grendel Jungle at the time so I don’t think the other grendels will be overcome with the same ilness.
