\"Untitled-1<\/a>Today is a big day for me – it’s the day I finally got Creatures 2 working on this machine. And of course, what better way to celebrate than with some dumb-as-manky Creatures?<\/p>\n

For this run, I decided not to play with Nova Subterra or Canny genomes and instead just pop in a Goldy from the default genomes. I had no idea what gender my norn would be but I wasn’t disappointed when I found that I’d hatched a girl.<\/p>\n

\"bandicam<\/a>Meet Clarise. There wasn’t a doubt in my mind that she’d start the game by wall-bonking herself into a coma, but I was pleasantly surprised when she actually sat down by the computer and learned all her verbs.<\/p>\n

It didn’t take long for me to find out how obedient she was, either. Still, I dreaded OHSS and tried to enjoy the time I spent with her now, while she was still open to learning.<\/p>\n

\"bandicam<\/a>We moved on to the next learning computer and she was basically good to go. It would be up to the Doozers and I to teach her anything more. Speaking of, I did have to discipline her when she refused to rest. A quick nap had her feeling better soon, though. I like to think she’ll forgive me.<\/p>\n

Once she was about 20 minutes old, I hatched the next egg.<\/p>\n

\"bandicam<\/a>This is Jonathan, named by my husband. He’s a default-genome Emerald norn. Why am I going after default genomes? Well, I have a bunch of breeds installed and want to try the more intelligent genomes, but I’d like to see where it all started first. He didn’t sit still quite so much as Clarise did in her early, early life but high energy does not a bad norn make.<\/p>\n

\"bandicam<\/a>That said, when he finally did start to run out of energy, the little guy just couldn’t sit still. I eventually had to deliver some tough-love to his rump before he sat still long enough to fall asleep. He didn’t look pleased with me, but a big grin on his face after his nap told me he was going to be alright.<\/p>\n
