Here’s Theo!

You might be wondering why I decided to include him in my game. My reasons are actually two-fold. 1, I like Bengals and I love the way they look. 2, he’s a first generation creature and I like genetic stability.

Before I could get to know him better, Sylvia became sick with Antigen 5 and Histamine B! I was starting to get tired of seeing that horrible Antigen. After she was tended to, Mary got pregnant again with Geoff’s second child! I scooped up her egg and placed it with the other.

I thought I was ready for Theo now but then Nami became pregnant with Geoff’s egg! This guy’s certainly making a claim for himself! She laid her egg in the jungle (of all places) and seemed to bring me to a sick Hannah. She’d popped up onto the medical monitor just as I’d arrived. I returned Hannah to the Norn Terrarium and stored Nami’s egg.

I returned to a tired Theo, playing with his robot toy and scrolled through the breed list. I wasn’t sure whether I wanted to include a ‘cannon’ breed or not. I hadn’t included any Treehuggers or Magma norns yet, for example, but I also wanted to try an Apple Norn.

Before I could make a decision, Theo was allowed to join the others as a Child.

Given the title, I still had to choose a breed.

Eventually, I settled on a female FairyFloss norn. Their genetics are nothing special, so I really looked forward to some stabilization without making all the babies look the same. I pet her egg hoping it would hatch more quickly.

Just as she hatched, Nami got sick. Then Geoff. Then Mary. I treated them all then went back to name the little girl I’d just hatched.

I named her and had to rush away because Nami had become pregnant with her second egg. I was happy to have 7 females to lay eggs for me, but with each expected to lay four, that still put me at 28 eggs. Chances are, I’ll only be keeping 6 of them, genders allowing.

Tiara still hadn’t learned her words so I focused on that next. She played for a bit but it wasn’t long before she pushed the HLM. She ate seeds and pushed the robot toy. I was met with another health notice and Rave had contracted a bacteria in the jungle. I cured him and sent him to the others.

Meanwhile, Belle was still in the hallway! She had Grant to keep her company at least. They cried in the hallway together and I picked sent them both through the door. After some seeds, they were both moving again.

Just then, Nami, of course, became preganant with two more eggs! I thought I’d disabled litters but I definitely got two pregnancy notifications. If she were pregnant with two, these would be her last eggs.

I set them both with the others.

This is Belle, the daughter of Scandalous Laborer and Lowly Adjustment.

She took to eating tubas and seeds right away and I just watched her pull carrots out of the ground without eating them for a little while. She didn’t seem at all interested in the HLM. Even with all my coaxing, she just didn’t want to press it.

Finally, when she was 5 minutes old, she pressed it.

Next up was Cheddar. Son of Five Cheese and Lowly Adjustment. Like his half sister Belle, he wasn’t interested in the HLM at all. It still didn’t take as long as his sister to push the button, but I was feeling impatient.

Last, but certainly not least, was Grant. The son of Sour Drink and Loving Wren.

He and Cheddar got on pretty well, right from the get go. Since they spent all of their time eating and resting, I checked on the others while they grew.

Belle, surprisingly, was the first norn to leave the terrarium as a child. She butted uselessly against the force field so I left her to her thing and checked on the others. Good for her for exploring, though!

I found Hanna in the jungle terrarium, sleeping near a kobold. She wasn’t sick so I let her eat the seeds and explore. Just then, Timber came in to eat chili peppers and they both started telling me how much they loved me. It soon stopped when they rested for a nap.

Except for these three, all of the other norns were in the safety of the Norn Terrarium or in the Norn Meso.

It wasn’t long til Timber became sick and I fed him cough syrup and disinfected him. He was returned to the Norn Terrarium after he decided that pushing the medicine dispenser was fun.

Belle was still butting against the force field so I asked what she was doing. “eat machinery” I slapped her on the rump and hoped she would return to the norn terrarium. Instead, she started butting against the force field on the other side.

Soon, Grant and Cheddar were old enough to join the others but before I could celebrate, Rave became sick with Antigen 5. He was at injury level 3 because of his reaction to the antigen, but I knew he would be fine soon. Next, Mary became ill. There were no antigens in her body. I returned Mary and Rave to the Norn Terrarium to find Rachael slapping poor Cheddar furiously. I slapped her on the rump and dragged her away.

Like the others, I took her away for some retraining.

Meanwhlie, Mary became pregnant with Timber’s child. I led her away to lay her egg away from the others. I scooped it up and got ready to introduce our last two norns.

This is little Nami. She’s the daughter of Scandalous Laborer and Loving Wren. You wouldn’t know she was the daughter of Scandal if not for those legs, though!

I encouraged her to push the HLM and soon she was eating everything in sight on the bottom level of the meso.

Since she set off eating everything, I moved on to the next little one. This is the son of Five Cheese and Uptight Kettle, Rave. For a little while, he wouldn’t drop the robot toy and it was hard for me to get a picture, but soon, he’d learned his words and he spent most of his time playing with the HLM.

I prepared to introduce a third baby but what interrupted when Chase suddenly got sick. He had one bacteria that gave him Histamine B. He was disinfected, fed cough syrup and was soon allowed to join the others.

Next, was a pregnancy indication! Hannah was pregnant with Geoff’s baby. I was very happy but at the same time, dreaded how busy I was going to be.

I carried her to the incubation area and waited for her egg.

She still had a weird stutter step when she walked and it wasn’t just because she was pregnant. It didn’t seem to bother her but it still looked like she was doing squat lunges everywhere she went. She didn’t do it when I asked her to move, either.

It wasn’t long before I got yet another sickness indication. It was chase again with 1 bacteria. I acted quickly and the bacteria didn’t even get to cause him trouble.

Finally, I introduced the third baby. This is Sylvia. She’s the daughter of Sour Drink and Uptight Kettle. Look at her holding that flower. She’s adorable!

I gave her the robot toy to tote around and she carried it all over the bottom layer of the meso. It wasn’t long til she reached childhood and joined the others.

It wasn’t long til I caught Chase slapping other creatures when he got bored so we headed to the rehabilitation center. Naturally, I slapped him on the rump each time he slapped the norn doll and he was fine for a while. I caught his brother Timber doing the same. Of course, as soon as I let Chase back in with the others, he slapped poor Rave like it was a fun game. He got slapped til he was on the medical monitor and I laid off. I wasn’t about to have another bully.

Let’s start things off without being too boring this time. This is Rachael. She is the daughter of Scandalous Laborer and Lowly Adjustment. She’s just adorable, and she didn’t give me a headache when it came to the HLM.

When she’d pressed it, though, she ran off, stood in front of the lift and just… stared at the robot toy. I asked her to express and she said “get toy”. She picked it up, held it in her hand and rested for a while. She pushed the toy every once in a while and expressed her needs only occassionally. Whenever she saw me, though she always said “me love mom”. She spent most of her time napping and is just as obedient as the other kids. I can’t wait for them all to become stubborn adults and teenagers. 9_9

While Rachel rested, I brought in Mary, daughter of Five Cheese and Lowly Adjustment. She was also pretty quick to press the HLM but spent a little while riding the elevator up and down. I asked her what she was doing and she said she was bored. I gave her a toy and watched her alternate between resting and pushing the robot.

Every once in a while the Popping Pappus would fire and she’d stop whatever she was doing to watch the seeds drift down. Below, Rachael ate tuba plants and pappus seeds.

Soon, it was time for another little one.

Well. Someone had to blink for their photo eventually. Meet Timber. He’s the son of Sour Drink and Loving Wren, though, if not for that tail, you’d never guess who his father was!

I couldn’t spend too long with him, though! Rachael was now a child so I let her join the others in the Norn Terrarium and returned to my two babies.

Soon, Mary was a child, too. While she slept, I carried her off and then it was one on one time with Timber.

I encouraged Timber to nap and eat seeds and he did what he was told. He got a little button happy but that was cured with another quick spank. Naturally, the peace couldn’t be perfect for too long.

I got a notification from the medical monitor. 1 Bacteria had infested Rachael. I carried her off to the medical bay where I’d set up an automatic disinfectant station. I put her into the containment unit and turned on the chemical grapher.

She had Antigen 0 in her body and she soon had Histamine B. She was fed some cough medicine and the Histamine B was soon gone. It didn’t take much, but she was finally returned to normal, though the medical monitor was still flashing.

I felt most bad for Timber who was left alone while I tended to Rachael. He soon became a child and joined the others.

I was happy with this mix. So far, we have 3 boys and 3 girls and none of them seems to have a problem, health, behavior or genetics wise.

Hopefully, we’ll have the same luck tomorrow when we introduce the next group of babies.
