This isn’t a new segment or anything, but I did want to make some tiny announcements.

My Sparkleseed Vendor has been updated to require a lot of water to grow. That means it does well underwater but will survive in swampy areas.

Second, I’d like to remind everyone that while the Daily Creature Feature is designed to primarily feature the AFK world that I’ve created, I will occasionally broadcast other things like playing the game, testing agents, my husband wandering in and goofing around with the creatures, pretty much any number of things. The stream can also be interrupted by a poor or interrupted internet connection, having to use the computer for other things (this is my gaming machine) or I might play creatures to test agents, do wolfling runs or for normal play.

I hope you like the stream so far and I hope you enjoy or at least don’t mind the occasional interruptions to the program.

In the meantime, please keep those creatures coming! If you’d like to submit creatures, please visit the stream page for information.

DCFThanks again to everyone who made the first stream possible by contribuing so many creatures! On the first day, we started with 32 imports! Hooray!

The stream is still going with a full population and, as of writing this, 34 eggs! Amazing! Remember to keep your creatures coming!

DCFbuttonIf you’d like to support the stream, you can do so by sharing this button in your signature, on your website or blog, or anywhere you like. 😀

See you in the stream!

Three totally unrelated blog posts in one day!? Well, why not.

Today things are slowing down and I’ve got a migratory wolfling run in the works and in the stream. I’m just sort of playing around with the world now and there aren’t any strict rules or anything but I’ve made some changes.

For starters, the music has been changed to use Creatures 3 event music (death, near death, birth, etc). I’ve also decided to make two worlds. A migratory world and a docked world. The migratory world is successfully encouraging creatures to move around and the docked world has creatures sticking to the Norn Meso with only a few of the more intrepid explorers actually moving out. I’m not sure how to remedy this except by killing the entire ecosystem and hand-placing seasonal food sources but… that’s a lot of work. XD If you have any tips on how to achieve this, send me a PM at Creature Caves or an email at kezune_twitch@hotmail.com.

The daily stream hasn’t formally become a -thing- yet but it’s definitely a work in progress. That said, I’m still open to input and I’ve finally compiled that list of breed sprites that I have installed.

Take a gander.

Spoiler Inside SelectShow

Now that you know what breeds I have (or breed slots I’ve got filled) please go ahead and start sending creatures over to kezune_twitch@hotmail.com. I haven’t recieved any creatures yet but would like to have at least 10 before I make the announcement that I’m doing a daily stream. I’m exclusively playing with Norns right now but I’m definitely open to other breeds and am even willing to make different IQ testing rooms for each species.

Give me your ideas, all of them, even little ones and I’ll see what I can do to improve the stream and the worlds featured therein.

Howdy!

As you might remember from one of my previous posts, I wanted to start doing a regular creatures stream.

I’m finally in a position in my life where this sort of thing is very feasible but I need your help if I’m going to do it.

It’s looking more and more like it’ll be an LNA style stream but with the Warp down, I’d have to manually receive creatures in an e-mail and label them in-game. Not that big a deal, but it’s the best we can work with right now.

That said, I do like to play the game so on top of a daily stream, we might have interruptions to our regular programming in the form of me, well, playing the games (to include C1 and C2, maybe even CV), narrating and having conversations with the people in the chat. These pleasant interruptions will probably be minimal but in any case, I hope you enjoy them, too.

For now, the creatures stream is hosted at twitch.tv/DailyCF  so if you’d like to check out what we have going on now, head over there. If you’d like to submit creatures to the stream, shoot me an e-mail at kezune_twitch@hotmail.com with either the genome or the .creature file that you want to submit. For now, creatures that only use the Creature Lab sprites are allowed. That means creatures with interesting genomes are definitely allowed so long as they aren’t intentionally immortal or invincible and use only official CL breed sprites. For example, Colortrue norns would be allowed because they use CL sprites. If I find that they are immortal or invincible, I’ll remove them from the stream without any hard feelings or ‘bad marks’. You’re welcome to submit all the creatures you like, though, even egg bombs. Please bear with me, the breed restriction is only in place until I can sort out what breeds I have installed. I’ll compile a list later. 🙂
