If you’ve read my bibble on CCaves, you might know that my neighbor has a nest of bees living in his house. They hover around the front door and we think they might be in his air conditioner. Seeing as we have an orange tree and lemon tree in our yards, I’m honestly afraid to go outside, especially out to the front yard where they gather nectar from our orange blossoms.

That said, there’s nothing for me to do today but finish indoor chores and play video games. My computer is still kaput so… Creatures.

When last we left off in our C3/DS world, Penny had just become an oldster and Dynasty a pre-teen.

Since there was still some time left before little Dynasty would have babies of her own, I added some color to the game.

The boys have leaves and the ladies have tiaras. The next thing I knew, though, I had three old norns on my hands!

With age comes character and wisdom, you know.

They slowed their pace quite a bit, naturally. Resting and eating were their only activities but Charles, who was still full of life, managed to impregnate Dynasty. We had our fifth egg and now it looks like Godfrey won’t be fathering every egg for this generation. He almost did, having sired 4 of our 5 eggs so far!

Now that Dynasty was the mother of one of his children, Charles didn’t leave her side. That said, he was the natural choice to be the father of her next and final baby.

Dynasty finally became an adult at just over an hour old. PennyWhistle had become ancient at 4 hours, 41 mintues and I knew her time would run out soon. Was she a Gizmo norn? I don’t know for sure but I’m glad she got to enjoy her life here.

With activity slowing down again, I decided to export the new babies.

Rather than continue with the next generation, I would finish this one out and start a new group of norns.

Slowly, but surely, this group would be closing the last chapters of their lives soon, though Dynasty would be in the rear.

With the game coming to a screeching halt, I really had to do something to pick up the activity again.

I picked out a little girl named Dynasty. She is the daughter of Belle and Cheddar and it shows! She took her legs and body from her mother, her face and tail from her father and her civet arms from both of her parents! She certainly looks interesting.

Soon she was a child and eating on her own. Most of the norns took to resting instead of exploring by now and actually stuck to the uppermost level of the room. Oscar and Dynasty were the only exceptions. They stayed by the middle level of Terra: Reborn and ate.

The norns started to complain about feeling bored so, naturally, I had to start scattering toys. I grabbed the Star-spawn plushies and dropped them in the norns’ favorite spots. Everyone was given a lesson in eating again and soon, they were pushing everything again.

Sooner or later (sadly, it was sooner) one of my norns would move on to a late stage of their life and Pennywhistle was the first to become old. At 3 hours, 54 minutes, her hair had greyed.

Dynasty, on the other hand, was now an adolescent. Soon, she would help usher in the next two babies for our next generation.

I don’t know what that’s supposed to mean. But I’m listening to the Yogscast Farming Simulator donation thing from this winter.

Anyway.

Back in our C3/DS world, the norns all gathered in Terra Reborn.

Despite already having as many children as he was allowed, Godfrey still pursued the ladies. By now I was sure his strange limp would make it into the next generation but he wasn’t badly affected. Oh well.

I was starting to get bored so, naturally, I had to introduce a hazard to the game: beeeees. Namely, Stingers!

Almost immediately, the two ladies had gotten themselves stung. Bianca was the first to start wandering towards the angry nest and Pennywhistle, always standing by her friend Bianca, was next to be stung.

The boys kept away and Godfrey took to watching one of the nests from a safe distance.

Soon, there was another problem. It seemed as though everyone had forgotten to eat.

As I’m in a bad sort of mood now, I’m going to cut this one super short. I can’t write a good blog entry if I’m not in a good mood. ;D

I needed a break from the two newer games so I decided to take a quick break from them by visiting my Creatures 1 norns. When I arrived, all of my norns had health sitting at over 70%. Already, it was looking like a lazy afternoon.

Everyone took turns sleeping and with the carrot cobs recently fixed, the ‘starch glitch’ was fixed. I was looking forward to having a normal game again. I’m still feeling pretty proud of myself for sticking with this group for this long. I’m not used to creatures living more than 8 hours and Patrick, my oldest norn, is now 8 hours and 22 minutes old! Good for him.

Soon, everyone was on the island and refusing to eat. I checked on each norn to make sure they were healthy. Soon, everyone was hungry but even when I managed to get one norn separated from the group, they still managed to get another norn to pair up with them and they continued to ignore their food. In total, everyone was on the island for about a half hour but they finally started to disperse.

With his change to the next stage of his life, his health was starting to decline. I still had one egg left to tend to, though. If you’ve been following this world up to now, you might remember that Godfried and Penny have a child of their own! Since this is a generation 3 egg, I decided to start separating the generations like I did in C3/DS.
