I like it, anyway and I hope you do, too!

Since today seemed like a day for change, I’ve decided to get fresh starts on everything.

In Aquazone, my guppies were starting to die despite regular feeding and clean water. I can only guess it had something to do with their genes. Naturally, I started fresh.

In Creatures 3, I was a little discouraged that I couldn’t read my norns genomes so I’m limiting my norns to CFE Creature Labs breeds. Having half CFE creatures was starting to prove detrimental to the creatures with those genes.

In Creatures 1, I wasn’t happy with the way I’d set up the world or the way I’d neglected to separate the generations.

In Creatures 2… well. I didn’t publish anything from Creatures 2.

Never fear, though! All the creatures I featured are available for download. The guppies, however, aren’t.

In other news, I’ve finally made the CFE Gizmo norns available for download. You can find them at CCaves.com OR here at the C3/DS Downloads page.

I needed a break from the two newer games so I decided to take a quick break from them by visiting my Creatures 1 norns. When I arrived, all of my norns had health sitting at over 70%. Already, it was looking like a lazy afternoon.

Everyone took turns sleeping and with the carrot cobs recently fixed, the ‘starch glitch’ was fixed. I was looking forward to having a normal game again. I’m still feeling pretty proud of myself for sticking with this group for this long. I’m not used to creatures living more than 8 hours and Patrick, my oldest norn, is now 8 hours and 22 minutes old! Good for him.

Soon, everyone was on the island and refusing to eat. I checked on each norn to make sure they were healthy. Soon, everyone was hungry but even when I managed to get one norn separated from the group, they still managed to get another norn to pair up with them and they continued to ignore their food. In total, everyone was on the island for about a half hour but they finally started to disperse.

With his change to the next stage of his life, his health was starting to decline. I still had one egg left to tend to, though. If you’ve been following this world up to now, you might remember that Godfried and Penny have a child of their own! Since this is a generation 3 egg, I decided to start separating the generations like I did in C3/DS.

When I returned, AppleJack was sick, but a few lemons and carrots later, she was smiling at me again.

I wasn’t having much luck getting Patrick to eat, though. Like Godfried, he spent much of his time holding the carrot, unsure what to do with it.

Penny got sick, too and complained about feeling hot. She recovered quickly so I can only assume that she just ate a weed.

There was a lull of activity. Patrick played with the elevators on the island, AppleJack watched the fish in the lighthouse swim, Penny kept the grendel company and Godfried stomped through the swamp carrots, occasionally eating with my advice.

Now that everyone was happy and healthy, I decided it was time to introduce Godfried’s new sibling.

Meet Candice, everyone!

Like her brother before her, the half life in this reaction is slower than in the original genome. Whether it’s beneficial or not has yet to be seen!

Now that everyone had recovered from the plague, they were taking a vacation on the island. The only norn who didn’t get sick, AppleJack, was hanging out with the bees. Fun fact. AppleJack maintained a health of about 90% during the plague!

It didn’t take long for AppleJack to decide to join the rest of her family on the island. It also didn’t take her long to change her mind and decide to head back to the waterfall, though!

With the others on the bridge, I took the opportunity to snap this photo of AppleJack.

Penny and Godfried flirted on the island while Patrick worked on making a new friend and AppleJack explored the lighthouse and falls. By now, AppleJack had proven to be the most independent norn.

Soon, though, Penny was pregnant with her first egg! Godfried slept on the bridge after his achievement (and after some slapping from Penny after more unwanted advances).

Penny took care to feed herself but Godfried seemed to be having trouble eating on his own. As if on queue, Penny came up to distract him some more, and then our Grendel friend stopped by to say hello and congratulate the happy couple.

Now, there were two eggs under the garden.

There was still one egg left to hatch. Does Godfried have another brother or a sister? Do Penny and Godfried have a boy or a girl?

More next time!
