Hi everyone.
I’m just letting you know that, although I’ve started with a new world and have only just started getting into Creatures again, I just don’t enjoy playing Creatures right now. The game brings up some unpleasant memories of some ridiculous drama and I just don’t have it in me to pretend I’m enjoying the game right now. I’d rather cover it when I’m enjoying it, y’know?
For now, I’ll be covering other sim and life games like Species, Aquazone and maybe even Petz to fill in the silence. I can’t promise I’ll be making regular blog posts during this period either. I hope you understand. As I’ve mentioned in the past, I just can’t make good blog posts if I’m not in a good mood, and Creatures just puts me in a bad mood lately.

Completely understandable, Kezune! I know exactly what you’re going through with needing to be in a good mood. I’ve tried forcing myself to post when I’m not enjoying Creatures, and it just makes things worse. I’ll be interested to see what you post about with your other games!
And maybe when you’re feeling like getting back to Creatures, I’ll have the carrot updates done so you won’t have to worry about confused Norns! That’s one thing to look forward to pretty soon, right? Ha ha!
Thank you for the support, Jessica! I’m working with Petz right now, and I’m not sure what I could post, that people would want to read. It’s a little awkward right now, but I’m sure I’ll find something to write about. I’ve started hexing and showing again, and I think there might be something in there to work with.
I really am looking forward to the carrots! If they’re available when I finally return to Creatures, I’m sure they’ll make the transition easier for me as well. 🙂
I wish the drama had played out differently, if it’s what I’m thinking of.. Hopefully you can untangle the community from your Creatures game (if that makes any sense?) Once you do you might find your Creaturey spirit again. I have… though that’s mostly because I’m working on a new Stinger Norn genome. They’re like the most amazingly stupid idea I’ve ever had and I still like them.
I’d be interested in whatever Petz hexie or AquaZone thing your working on at the moment. I’ve abandoned both of them in favor of a Monster Rancher nostalgia session, but maybe seeing you post about them will get me interested again. Also did you ever find your Petz game backup? If not, I have two of your hexies I could send back.
It is that drama, sadly. I never thought that a situation in the community could make me not want to play, but eh… Best to pack up and leave that aspect behind in my case, though it has pained me to leave everyone not involved. I’m not saying I’ll be gone from that forever, but I certainly won’t be as active.
I don’t need the hexies I’ve sent you, but if you have a copy of Buzzie, I’d love to have him back. 🙂 Sadly, my fail safe copy was corrupted and I lost everyone. As I find more time, I’ll likely be combing through emails and bringing everyone back, but one or two at a time. I don’t have a lot of time for the horde I had before. XD
Oh, I hear you – boy, do I hear you. Just getting back to C3DS myself after a good 3 or 4 months away from it. I’m sorry you’ve had hassles as well; I don’t catch up with blogs as often as I should by I’m looking forward to seeing what you make with Aquazone. Don’t worry about keeping up with my Aquazone posts. Since the game progresses in “real fish time” my updates should be pretty sparse. If I get into “time warping” then we’d have a different story but for now, I like the relaxed pace. Checking on my fish once a day isn’t bad, y’know?
Sadly, that isn’t the same game. That, I think, is the screensaver that they started selling. The company decided that the realistic Aquarium sim wasn’t a big hit overseas and started releasing just the customizable screensavers to non-Japanese audiences. This is the one you’re looking for, but I don’t know whether you can order it from the UK or not. I bought my copy back in Japan, but I was using an AP (US Armed Forces Pacific) mailing address at the time. The full name you’re looking for should be “Aquazone Deluxe II with Guppies”. I checked amazon.co.uk and didn’t find it, though. Good luck finding a copy!
